Reportedly LG is working on a premium flagship device which is code named as “Judy”. This next gen flagship smartphone is said to arrive in Q3 of this year. There were some rumors that this “Judy” code named device could be the G7. But According to Evan Blass from VentureBeat, Judy will be a different device.
Also this year LG could launch a new upgraded variant of the V30 with more improved features at the MWC 2018 event. Previously LG had announced that they would no longer stick with its annual launch cycle and would’t launch new flagship phones as rivals do. Instead of launching new devices, LG will bring new modified variants of old existing devices. But this device could be a new flagship as per all recent reports.
Blass revealed some of the key specifications of the smartphone. The LG Judy flagship smartphone would come with a 6.1-inch MLCD+ 18:9 display with HDR10 support. This type of MLCD+ display is quite new in the market, and this display panel’s RGBW matrix contains a white sub-pixel which will provide 800 nits of brightness that consumes 35% less power when compared to a normal IPS LCD type displays.
The device Judy is powered by Qualcomm snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with 4 GB of RAM. Apart from this, this smartphone could feature dual 16MP (f/1.6) rear AI camera for perfect portrait images. Moreover the phone might feature “boom sound” stereo type speakers, IP68 rating for durability & also support wireless charging. Right now as much we know, LG would launch this Judy flagship smartphone in June.
