The users who have the X series iPhone might have noticed the 3D touch based flashlight and camera shortcuts. A user could find these shortcuts on the lock screen of their devices and they make a clicking sound when used. Unfortunately, these shortcuts are an exclusive feature to the iOS 12. As you know there isn’t any iOS 12 jailbreak available at the moment. However, iOS developer Sam Gardner has released a tweak called malleus which lets you enjoy these features on iOS 11.
If you ever wanted to use the iOS 12 Lock Screen shortcuts on your jailbroken iPhone then here’s your chance. Malleus provides the iOS 11 users who are running a jailbroken version of the OS some of the iOS 12 Lock Screen shortcuts. Although, the description on the Cydia page mentions that the clicking sound isn’t exactly similar to the original iOS 12 version but it is a brilliant tweak, nonetheless.
The tweak makes these shortcuts a bit more alive by providing them a feedback mechanism. Another brilliant reason to use this tweak is that it works on the previous versions of the iPhone as well. A user who has, say, an iPhone 8 can use malleus along with a tweak called HomeGesture to enjoy the features on the normal LCD screen.

Malleus tweak can be downloaded from the BigBoss repository of Cydia for free. The tweak works as soon as you install it and it doesn’t come with any settings menu options. You can definitely use it to make your jailbroken iOS 11 device stand out from the rest or enjoy one of the features of the iPhone X models on an older device.
So, go ahead and give malleus a try and see if you or anyone near you could find if there is a difference in the click of the jailbroken tweak and the real thing.
