Nokia Launched Nokia 1 Android Go Smartphone at MWC 2018 : Specifications & Price

Recently HMD Global has launched the Nokia 1, first device from Android Go offerings in a press conference at MWC 2018. It will be a cheap entry level android smartphone from Nokia that will be running on Android Oreo Go edition, a light UI specially tuned to run on low end entry level devices. Apart from this, Nokia also announced Nokia 7 plus, Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 8110 4G feature phone and Nokia 8 sirocco at the MWC 2018 event.

One of the highlight of Nokia 1 is the Xpress-on two-tone poly carbonate exchangeable covers which will be up for $7.99 or roughly 499 Rupees in Azure, Grey, Yellow and Pink color variants. It lets users to personalize the look and fell of their smartphones as per their taste.

Nokia 1 Specifications – 

In terms of specifications, Nokia 1 sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS Display with a resolution of 480×854 pixels. The smartphone measures 133.6×67.78×9.5mm. Under the hood, the device is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737M SoC coupled with 1GB of LPDDR3 RAM. Nokia 1 features a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash option, while you get a 2 MP front camera to capture selfies.

The phone runs on runs the latest Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition), which comes with with lightweight versions of Google apps and services, such as Gmail Go and Google Maps Go to deliver optimized performance despite of its hardware. Moreover it has 8GB internal storage which is expandable upto 128GB via a micro-SD card. Other features such as VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm audio jack comes within it. Talking about the battery capacity, you will get a 2,150 mAh battery inside which can deliver deliver up to 9 hours of talk time and up to 15 days of standby time.

Nokia 1 Price – 

Nokia 1 Android Go edition is the most affordable compact smartphone from the Nokia Android lineup. This Nokia 1 price is just $85 (roughly Rs. 5,500) and It’ll be available in Dark Blue and Warm Red color variants and will go on sale in early April. While the market where this device would be available isn’t announced yet officially, it’s expected that Nokia would make the Nokia 1 available globally in multiple phrases.
