Today Samsung announced the Exynos 9810 SoC ahead of the CES 2018 and it’s expected to be launched with the most awaiting samsung galaxy s9 and galaxy S9 plus later. Exynos 9 series 9810 SoC comes with advanced face recognition technology, AI features, better imaging capabilities. This new SoC will increase the single core performance by 40% compared to the previous Exynos SoCs by its two-fold and multi-core performance.
Exynos 9810 SoC features a 3rd generation custom CPU which is upgraded with wider pipelines and optimized cache memory. Samsung’s exynos 9810 SoC has four custom CPU core which is clocked at 2.9 Ghz and another four Cortex A55 cores clocked at 1.9 GHz. It could deliver a maximum clock speed up to 2.9 Ghz. This new Exynos 9 series 9810 SoC supports LPDDR4x RAM and comes with latest ARM Mali-G72 MP18 GPU which delivers more detailed graphics and imaging experience.
This SoC supports displays with up to 4K UHD (4096×2160 pixels) resolution and features dual Image Signal Processor that supports up to 4 image sensors. The Exynos 9810 SoC supports up to 16 MP dual camera or 24 MP front and rear cameras. This advance imaging technology enables stabilized high-resolution photos and videos recording. In also has 120 fps 4K UHD video recording and playback capability.
According to samsung, The exynos 9 series 9810 is the most innovative mobile processor yet.Ben Hur, vice precedent of system LSI marketing at Samsung electronics said,”The Exynos 9 Series 9810 is our most innovative mobile processor yet, with our third-generation custom CPU, ultra-fast gigabit LTE modem and, deep learning-enhanced image processing,”.
He also added,”The Exynos 9810 will be a key catalyst for innovation in smart platforms such as smartphones, personal computing and automotive for the coming AI era.”
Also the new exynos 9810 supports download and upload link of upto 1.2 Gbps. The SoC also comes with neural network based deep learning algorithms and stronger security to accurately recognize people or items in pictures for fast image searching. The deep sensing technology allows to scan user’s face in 3D face detection with face tracking filters using hardware and software, which enables a more advanced and secured face recognition like iPhone X.
Samsung might use the new Exynos 9810 SoC in Samsung galaxy s9 and galaxy s9 plus, while Samsung will opt for Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC for some of the regions as we’ve seen in their previous flagship devices.
