Samsung recently launched its two new high end flagship devices – Samsung galaxy s9 and galaxy s9+. Currently the company is focusing into its Budget devices, the J series. Galaxy J7 was one of the most sold Samsung’s budget smartphone. Recently its successor, Samsung Galaxy J8 with mode number SM-J800FN has been spotted on the bench marking website – Geekbench which reveals its some of the key specifications.
Samsung Galaxy J8 Specifications –
Previous listings had suggested that the Samsung Galaxy J8 may sport a 5.5-inch display with a 720×1280 pixels resolution. According to the new GeekBench listing, Samsung galaxy J8 will be powered by an Exynos 7870 processor which was launched in 2016. So the processor is little backdated as compared to the new mobiles where we get see the latest qualcomm snapdragon chip sets. Apart from this, the Exynos 7 Octa 7870 will feature eight Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.6GHz along with LTE Cat.6 2CA Modem.
The GeekBench listing shows Samsung galaxy J8 will have a 3GB RAM, where you’ll get around 2813 MB of usable RAM. Depending upon this CPU, Galaxy J8 could support up to 16-megapixel for both front and rear cameras or 8-megapixel each in dual camera mode. But we’ll not be surprised to see a single camera on this device, as Samsung almost kills many useful sensors on its budget devices so a dual camera is quite an unexpected thing.
Apart from all of this, Samsung Galaxy J8 has managed to score 728 in single-core performance and 3683 in multi-core performance. Moreover it will run on Android 8.0.0 which is expected to be based on Samsung’s TouchWiz skin layer. The smartphone might also come with Face detection or Faced ID recognition system. Right now we don’t have much details to share regarding the launch of Samsung galaxy J8, and also the company hasn’t made any official comment over this yet.
