Reliance jio introduced VoLTE services last year. VoLTE provides enrich calling facility to the users. After reliance jio, airtel also launched its VoLTE services in few cities of india including Mumbai,Chennai and Karnataka. And now vodafone india is gearing up itself for the same.
As per the recent reports, Vodafone india is planning to launch VoLTE services in the upcoming year 2018. Vodafone currently has more than 200 million subscribers in its network and its the 2nd largest service provider after airtel .The company will start to test VoLTE services soon in few Indian cities including Kolkata, Karnataka, Delhi, Gujarat and Mumbai.
Right now, after this announcement vodafone became the 3rd indian telecommunication service provider to integrate VoLTE in its network.Managing director of vodafone india,Sunil Sood said,”Vodafone is getting Future Ready with the advent of newer technologies and digital services. The introduction of Voice over LTE (VoLTE) will enhance customer experience with HD quality calling and offer our customers newer possibilities. Vodafone VoLTE is an important step towards introducing futuristic technology enhancing our Data Strong Network.”
After its initial release,Vodafone will roll-out the VoLTE services across the country. The company announced there will be additional charges for this service. VoLTE technology will let the vodafone 4G subscribers to experince High Qulity HD voice over calls. As long as someone has a 4G enabled device with vodafone 4G network, they can experience this service.
Still now,there is no timeline regarding the launch of Vodafone VoLTE.We may expect to get this service by the mid of 2018.
