For a while Whatsapp has been working to integrate payment features into its mobile app. Recently whatsapp payments feature has been launched in India along with many other countries. In case if you don’t know what’s whatapp payments, so The WhatsApp Payments is a peer to peer money transfer feature to send and receive money instantly using the messaging app.
back in July, 2017 WhatsApp had received permit from the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) to enter into partnership with multiple banks to allow its users to make in-app payments and money transfers using the Unified Payments Interface (UPI). Recently the feature is available on whatsapp Android Beta v2.18.41 & v2.12.21 for iOS.
With the all new whatsapp payments feature users can send or revive money instantly. But both of the sender and receiver should have whatsapp payments feature enabled into their mobile app. The authorization is pretty simple, users need to select their bank name to connect using UPI and follow the on screen instructions for the rest of the procedure.
If you don't see the payment option, please wait 10h/11h and 25m to check if WhatsApp has enabled it for you, otherwise keep waiting the next day 🙂 the roll out is very slow.

Also as per users who’ve got the feature, they’re facing issues to link their bank accounts with the UPI system.
Due to a billion of active users, the new whatsapp payment feature will go up against the UPI payment systems of Paytm, Google Tez & Phonepay. But the update roll out is very slow. To check if you’ve got this feature or not, Open your WhatsApp, tap on the three dots at the top right corner and navigate to the Settings and check for Payments option. If you don’t get any thing like that, You may have to wait a little bit to grab this feature on your device.
