One of Xiaomi mid-range lineup is the Mi Max series. As per recent reports Xiaomi is rumored to launch Xiaomi Mi Max 3, the company’s new ‘Phablet’ device. Staring from the very beginning of this year, the china based smartphone manufacturer xiamoi has launched a bunch of new devices including the most anticipated Redmi Note 5 and the MiTV. Also there’re rumors about launching Mi A2, Mi 7 and Mi Mix 2S, and it seems that Mi Max 3 also joins them. Coming to the market with the help of flipkart, Xiaomi became the most selling leading smartphone brand in india during Q4 2017, so the company might be looking forward to hold on their grip over the market by launching devices in every budget aspects.
A fresh blog on XDA developers reveals some of the key specifications of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Max 3. According to the XDA article, Mi Max 3 could come with wireless charging support and iris scanner. In terms of the specifications,Xiaomi Mi Max 3 would feature a 7-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio and smaller bezels. Display resolution of this smartphone isn’t confirmed yet. This devices could be boosted by either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC depending upon the model firmware. but If the xda report is to be believed, Mi Max 3 might feature the Snapdragon 636 rather than the 660 because the Snapdragon 636 is a down-clocked 660. The maximum frequency listed in the firmware is 1.8GHz, which is below the maximum frequency of the 660’s 2.2GHz.
As per rumors, the Xiaomi Mi 7 is supposed to be the first Xiaomi smartphone to come with wireless charging capabilities, so Mi Max 3 would be the second xiamoi smartphone to come with the Qi wireless charging support. The device will have either an IMX363 from Sony or an S5K217+S5K5E8 Samsung dual camera setup. There will be a single S5K4H7 sensor from Samsung on the front accompanied by an iris scanner from Omnivision. Also there will be a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The XDA Report further claims that Mi Max 3 will also have the basic features such as dual-SIM card slots, IR blaster, LED notification light and Bluetooth,but unfortunately there will be no NFC functionality on device.
The firmware of Mi Max 3 suggests the device will be running Android 8.1 Oreo which is expected to be based of the Miui10, as xiamoi has already started working over the next gen MIUI version. Apart from it, This handset would come with dual speakers, audio output tuned by Dirac and Qualcomm’s aptX and aptX HD Bluetooth audio codecs. This dual sim smartphone device will be backed by an enormous 5,500 mAh battery which should please any person who is interested in a device with a long battery life.
