Recently Xiaomi’s new “Blackshark” gaming smartphone has been spotted on Antutu which is said to come with high end specifications specially built for gaming including aviation-class cooling system, and top class digital signal processor (DSP). Earlier there were reports that Xiaomi is planning to launch its subsidiary brand which will focus only on making high end mobile devices.
As per a recent Gizmochina Blog, “Xiaomi is reported to have got a new subsidiary known as Nanchang Black Shark Technology Co., Ltd or simply Black Shark, which is devoted to the manufacture of gaming smartphones”. And it seems that Blackshark could be the first device from xiamoi’s gaming sub-brand.
Recently Blackshark’s official social media account was registered on weibo ( a Chinese social media website), which might mean that the device could get launched very soon. The antutu benchmark page reveals some of the high lighted specifications of this new mysterious smartphone.
Xiaomi BlackShark Smartphone specifications –
The blackshark smartphone features a 18:9 FullHD+ display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. Apart from this, the device will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor backed with a Adreno 630 GPU and 8GB RAM. This smartphone will offer 64 GB internal storage, moreover a 128 GB internal storage variant could be there.
Coming to the Operating system there’s a little confusion. It’s not confirmed whether Xiaomi will put its MIUI or Stock android or there will be new UI specially tuned for gaming. But the new OS will be based on Android 8.0.0 Oreo according to the antutu benchmark. In antutu score, it has managed to score 2,70,680 which seems a great when it’s compared to the samsung galaxy s9 which scored 2,65,267 points previously.
Needless to say, that with this high end specification this new Xiaomi blackshark smartphone could offer high end resolution with higher frame rates, and top notch premium quality performance if the UI is tuned and optimized with the hardware properly. As This device beats samsung’s latest flagship in auntutu scores, so we’ll get to see a tough competition among the Android OEMs. Right now not much much have been know yet, the more details will be updated later.
