Just few days ahead of the deadlines imposed by Google, Access to the Youtube App on amazon fire tv has been blocked. Amazon fire TV users wiling to watch youtube are being redirected to browsers to watch youtube.

Earlier december, Google’s Youtube division said they would revoke youtube access globally across all amazon fire TV streaming devices by 1st january 2018. While before few days to go more, already Amazon revoked youtube access in fire tv devices.

youutbe access blocked on amazon fire tv devices

In the previous statement Google stated due to “lack of reciprocity” they’re ending the support of youtube on Amazon fire TV devices. After opening the youtube app, users are getting a pair of browser as a option to choose from. One is Amazon’s own silk browser and another one is firebox. While Google denied to make any comment over this. I think you know about the lucky patcher app which is amazing for android.

While Google is world’s biggest search engine, on the other hand Amazon is world’s largest online retailer. The competition between these two giants, Google and Amazon is pumping up day to day. Google is trying push its sell of smart speakers in the market, while Amazon has dominated the market with its Echo devices. For the same reason the YouTube app and browser access had been revoked on Amazon’s Echo show devices earlier.

Fire TV Users are still able to access YouTube using browser.  Due to this Google Amazon clash, there is a strong possibility that youtube would also revoke the access of youtube through browser in upcoming days.
